Kasar Devi is located atĀ a hilltop which is about 10 km from Almora.Ā Kasar Devi is named after the temple dedicated to Kasar Devi.Ā Do not be misled by the name of this place asĀ there are many other placesĀ to see besides the temple. The natural beauty of this place is amazing. Pine and Deodar trees are all around which makesĀ it very scenic.Ā One canĀ get magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks from Bandarpunch in Himachal Pradesh to Api Himal in Nepal. The temperature remains pleasant evenĀ during summers and you feel atĀ peace with yourself. The road which passes here is not very broad and there is not muchĀ traffic. Some resorts are located adjacent to this road. One can stay in the resorts or stroll along theĀ roads and enjoy the sights and sounds of this place.
Apart from this, you can visit Binsar Sanctuary which is just 10 km away from here. You can go for a wildlife trip or trek up to zero pointĀ from where you can see Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhanba, Kedarnath etcā¦If you love wildlife and nature then this place willĀ beckon you over and over again.
